Saturday Night Tunic

Another of the patterns in the Just for You book that I've been semi-drooling over. This time, I did it in the assigned month! I'm on a tunic kick right now as something easy & comfortable to wear. Kind of stylish too!

Pattern traced and all cut out
I've had this fabric for almost a year now. I originally picked it up, not knowing what to do with it. When I thought of the tunic, I immediately thought of this fabric.
This fabric is delicious!
After ironing it flat, it was time to get started. I got the pieces cut out & ready to go.
Yay for pieces!
The sewing was pretty easy. I was having a rough time making the single fold bias for some reason. I decided that next time I'll just buy it since you don't see it any how. Once I got the bias done, I got it all attached & got the rest of the tunic sewn together.
Before the finishing work. Looks kind of like a smock.
I didn't have elastic thread (which was a fun time trying to find it at one of our local Joann stores), so I had to wait to do the finishing stitching. Originally I was thinking about skipping it, but I'm glad I didn't. It really made it!

Sorry about the lighting, but it's done!
Now, to do a belt to go with it!
