Boxy Dress Tunic

I found this pattern on Hawthorne Threads' website a few months ago. I really loved the collection of fabrics that the fabrics came from - Paradise by Alisse Courter. I decided on the more purple color for the main fabric and one of the coordinating smaller flower prints instead of the larger print shown on the pattern.

The only thing I didn't love about the pattern is the directions are one size fits "most". My hips are *almost* too big for the pattern as written.

Fabrics I decided on
I had to bring up the length quite a bit since I wanted it tunic length & not dress length. If I were still in my 20s, I'd consider wearing this without pants. But, I'm not, so I won't.

  1. That's really cute! I totally hear ya on "judgement calls" on clothing now that we are no longer in our 20's. I still often wonder if I am a bit too old for certain things...lol

  2. Thank you! There are certain things I see people wearing who are younger and I think "oooohhhh, that's cute!" and then I remember I'm closer to 40 than 20 (that's scary to write!).
