Mug Rug

I belong to a tea of the month club (Plum Deluxe Tea - check them out) and it's awesome. I get two 1 oz packages of tea a month for less than 3 Starbucks visits and they've been fantastic. Honestly, I love them and look forward to my purple package every month.

This month, we're doing a Secret Santa. It's a fun idea & I can't wait to see what my person thinks of her gift. I got her a fun infuser & made a mug rug for her. I've been seeing mug rugs around & was looking for an excuse to make one. Perfect!

First thing I did was find an easy to follow tutorial. Sometimes this takes longer than the project itself! I decided to follow the one on Simply Notable. The next thing I did was sort through my fabric scraps. This seemed like the perfect project for scraps - and it was! They're kind of mini quilts, complete with binding.
