Princess Grace (PG from here on out) is one of our dog's, David, best friends. She's a camping neighbor & we'll be seeing her (and her humans!) just after Christmas. What do you get a dog who has it all? You make her her own campfire blankie for those cool nights when we're all around a fire.
Yes, I'm making a dog friend a quilt. David has one, as does our cat, Wendy. They love their blankies, so why not?! Plus, a quilt for a dog is much quicker than a human quilt.
Looking through Pinterest, I found this
one. I think it's perfect, on a smaller scale. I'm going to do the finishing using this
tutorial instead of traditional binding. Let's face it, dogs dig at their blankets & I don't want her to tear off the binding. David has managed to keep his on so far, but I do worry about it with his too.
On to the quilt!
